In 2025, I shut down the ₹15 crore agency I'd spent 15 years building. Not because it stopped working. Because I'd already learnt what it was going to teach me. The next thing I wanted to build couldn't exist inside it.
That decision confused a lot of people. It made perfect sense to me.

2004–2008: Where It Started
GE Capital and HSBC Bank. Corporate finance. I learned how businesses actually work. The numbers behind the brand. The decisions behind the numbers. Most marketers never get this foundation. I did.
2008–2010: An Unexpected Turn
Sub-editor and Columnist at Deccan Chronicle Holding Ltd. I moved from finance into journalism. I learned how to tell a story that people actually read. How to find the angle. How to write with an opinion. That skill never left me.
2010–2025: What's In a Name
₹40,000. A loan. A company named What's In a name. Led 50-member cross-functional teams. And fifteen years of building one of South India's most respected branding and digital agencies. 100+ brands launched. ₹40+ crore in media budgets managed. ₹2,000+ crore in measurable business impact.

2012–2025: Namesake Productions
A video production company specialising in corporate films & brand films, built alongside the agency. Writer, director, and producer of 100+ corporate and brand films. From concept to screen. The storytelling foundation that most marketing strategists never get. This isn't a side project. It's the reason the content work lands differently.
2019–Present: Giving Back
IIT Bombay: Official Branding & Digital Marketing Mentor. T-Hub: Gold Category Mentor, Lab32 programme. 100+ startups mentored. Osmania University TBI: Technology Business Incubator Mentor. All three simultaneously while running the agency full-time.
2025: The Restart
I closed What's In a Name. Voluntarily. Built WonDay AI. India's first Human+AI marketing strategy platform. Created in 90 days as a solo founder. Won Emerging MarTech Innovator of the Year at MartechAi Summit 2025. And became a content creator that over a million people watch every month.

I don't sell advice. I share accountability.
Every consulting engagement I take on, I treat it as if it's my own business. Not because I have to — because that's the only way I know how to work. If the strategy doesn't work, I want to know why as badly as you do.
I don't perform expertise. I've earned it.
22 years. Not 22 years of reading about marketing — 22 years of doing it with real budgets, real clients, and real consequences. That's the difference between someone who can explain marketing and someone who can fix it.
I'm not for everyone. And that's the point.
